South West Founders is a monthly meet-up for people based in the South-West who have been, are, or want to be tech start-up founders. The aim is to connect local entrepreneurs with co-founders and other like-minded people as well as tech investors to create an informal support network.
The focus is on scalable and disruptive tech businesses. Entrepreneurs and tech investors are welcome with open arms, but discourage freelancers, consultants, lawyers and other service providers unless they have a genuine interest in founding or mentoring start-up businesses. We have a strict 'no selling' rule at our events.
WE HAVE A NEW FORMAT!
The new format for SWF is an event in two parts. Firstly a brief talk or workshop session from a leading expert locally on something super useful to early-stage entrepreneurs. Secondly, we'll have our more traditional peer-to-peer networking! All members are welcome to attend either element or (ideally) both!
Speaking this month:
Cookies HQ Co-Founder Nic Alpi taking us through the journey of developing, creating and successfully running an agency.
Hear about the Good, the bad and the sometimes ugly world of startups, tech and the local scene. Garner some advice, share your tales or raise some questions at this enlightening session.
Cookies HQ creates web and mobile apps for businesses with purpose, their mission is to deliver unique products and build strong, lasting partnerships with our clients.
CookiesHQ was founded by husband and wife team, Nic and Nathalie Alpi, in 2011.
Nic started his first business when he was just 21 – so he understands the challenges our clients face every day.
Since then, they’ve grown organically into a team of talented developers, organisers and creatives. Their studio is based right here in Bristol, UK, and they work with organisations all around the globe.
